Terms and Conditions

By submitting your iPod for repair you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions...

Sending/Receiving your iPod

  • We will not be held responsible for the loss of any items that you send to us. You will need to take your lost item claim to your courier. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery as a fully insured method of post.
  • We will not be held responsible should your item arrive with us not adequately packaged and protected from damage via the post.
  • You will be accountable for any postage costs in returning iPods under warranty back to us.
  • We will hold full responsibility for the loss of any items that we send to you only if you choose to have your iPod delivered back to you via the Royal Mail Special Delivery. Any lost items using this method of return will be replaced with an item of equal or better specification.
  • We will not be responsible should you provide us with an incorrect delivery address for return postage. You should notify us immediately if you have made a mistake or need to change your delivery address.
  • If no communication is heard from you for 3 months after we have contacted you, we reserve the right to dispose of your iPod.

Repairs

  • By submitting your chosen repairs on the website, or agreeing to repairs by email, you are authorising The iPod Clinic to carry out those repairs and send your iPod back to you.
  • We cannot be accountable for any data loss when you send in your iPod, including when you choose our data recovery services. Sometimes it is not possible to recover data. We advise that you backup your music and other data before sending your iPod in to us.
  • We usually complete repairs or diagnosis on the same day that your iPod is received in the workshop. Delays however can occur and if your iPod is not sent back to you within 21 days of receiving it we will refund the full cost of repair and return the iPod free of charge.
  • We will not be responsible for fixing any faults that are not described in your notes or selected by you when submitting your iPod for repair. Any further faults would be charged as a new job.
  • If you send your iPod in for diagnosis, we will only be responsible for repairs related to the faults you describe in your notes.
  • You cannot cancel a repair once you have confirmed and paid for it.
  • If we are unable to repair your described faults and the iPod was received to us complete and untampered then we will refund your cost in full and return the iPod for a postage and packing fee of £7.50.
  • All repair prices displayed do not include return postage, this will be charged if you go ahead with repair at a rate of £7.50.

Diagnosis

  • Each iPod sent in for diagnosis is subject to a seperate inspection policy.
  • If you choose to have your iPod repaired after a diagnosis then your diagnosis fee will be taken off of the final repair price.
  • The diagnosis fee does not include return postage, this will be charged if you want your iPod returned repaired or unrepaired at a rate of £7.50.

Payment

  • Payment is accepted by Credit/Debit card through Paypal.

Refunds/Charges

  • We operate under the distance selling regulations and our service is a personalised service where for we personally attend to and repair your iPod/iPhone there for we can not accept returns on parts once we have carried out the repair unless they become faulty in which case you will be covered by our 3 month warranty.

Please note that an administration fee of £10 (which includes return postage) will be charged in any of the following circumstances...

  • If you have sent your iPod off and want a refund but we haven't carried out the repair yet.
  • You send us the wrong iPod model to be repaired and we can NOT repair that model
  • If you send us an iPod which has previously been opened by someone else other than Apple. We reserve the right not to carry out the repair, however we will try to repair the iPod if its still possible.
  • Should we send your iPod out for delivery and it's not received or collected and the parcel gets returned to us. £10 will be charged for every time this happens.
  • We are unable to diagnose your iPod or iPhone or parts are not available for that specific repair.
  • If under warranty you send an iPod back for repair and we do not find a fault that relates to the original repair we carried out.

Warranty

  • Our warranty covers the specific part or parts used to carry out the repair and not for your iPod as a whole unit. We will only accept warranty claims if it's a genuine fault. We will not be responsible if you damage this part yourself.
  • Warranty on all parts replaced except logic boards is 2 months.
  • Logic Boards are under warranty for 7 days from receipt of the iPod back to you and issues must be reported to us within these 7 days, this is due to many different types of docking stations killing logic boards when they are plugged in. We recommend not to use docking station and instead to plug in via the headphone jack and aux input on the docking station.

Disclaimer

  • We must make it clear that when we under take a repair on your iPod or iPhone it will VOID your warranty with Apple.
  • We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £10 if necessary under our terms
  • You waive the right for us to use a comment made by email as one of our testimonials unless you contact us saying you don't want it published.
  • When we replace logic boards or back plates the serial numbers on these components will no longer match.
  • The iPod you send for repair is owned by you and is not stolen property.

Buy My iPod

  • If you send us an iPod that is not in the condition you state it's in or is of the wrong specification you describe you will be required to pay a £10 administration charge for return of your iPod back to you.

Price Beating

  • In order for us to beat a better price that you have found, it must be a price from a UK registered business. You must also be able to provide us a link to the website of the company showing their prices.

Subject to Change

  • We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, please check back every time you make an order. This version of our terms and conditions has been effective since 28/05/2010.
